Bob Seguy, MS, SMS

Bob has been an EHS leader for over 30 years. He has worked in 22 countries building strong EHS cultures working at all levels of the organization. He has both the EHS depth and breadth working in several industry sectors including Aerospace, Defense, Pharmaceutical and Food & Beverage. Bob utilizes a pragmatic yet system approach when building a comprehensive safety culture owned by line management. Bob holds two Master Degrees from the University of Southern California in Environmental Engineering and Industrial Hygiene. He also is certified by BSCP in System Management Safety.

John Forrester, CSP
Corporate Operations Safety Manager, Leprino Foods Inc

 

John is the Corporate Operations Safety Manager for Leprino Foods, one of the top 10 largest dairy products manufacturers in North America. His greatest passion is providing the safety tools and inspiration for leaders to execute a caring leadership style to maximize the power of employee engagement into business performance.

In his formative years, he worked as a safety compliance officer for the North Carolina Department of Labor. In his manufacturing career over the span of 25 years, he has worked for three companies which have achieved EHS Today’s America’s Safest Company Award. His work in manufacturing has included sectors in energy, building materials, automotive, and food manufacturing. In his role with Leprino Foods, the focus of his work is aligning company leadership towards the execution of processes resulting in a continually improving safety culture. In 2015, John was awarded the Leprino President’s Award, which is the top leadership recognition award in his company for the positive impact safety made on business performance and culture.

John is a Certified Safety Professional and an active member of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers. He has a degree in Environmental Health Science from the University of Georgia. He resides in Denver with his wife and four sons.

 

 

Gretchen Digby Norwood, CSM, DfS
Founding Partner, Future Partners, LLC

Gretchen Digby Norwood is the Founder of Future Partners, LLC, a Raleigh, NC based consulting firm offering assistance with EHS compliance management and sustainability engagement programs and initiatives.

She is also the US Liaison for Sustainability Services at RobecoSam, focused on engaging US-based companies in the corporate sustainability assessment (CSA) and Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI).

Gretchen most recently served as Director of Global Sustainability Programs for the Center for Energy Efficiency & Sustainability (CEES) at Ingersoll Rand. In this role, she focused on establishing world-class sustainability training programs as well as leading global engagement activities for the company’s more than 42,000 employees to further integrate sustainability into the company culture. Digby managed the annual DJSI response process by creating a culture of ownership among the focus area champions across the enterprise. She has achieved great success and external recognition for her efforts establishing Global Volunteer Green Teams that hold events and activities to increase awareness of employees on actions leading to more sustainable workplaces, homes, and communities. Digby focuses on raising employee competencies and measuring the value of sustainability through unique partnerships and outside-the-box approaches.

Gretchen joined Ingersoll Rand in 2001 as manager of safety and health engineering for the enterprise. She managed the global EHS compliance audit program for over 300 facilities. In addition, she facilitated regional EHS councils in North America, Europe, and Asia, coordinated the annual global EHS conferences and awards, and facilitated global training on various EHS topics. Prior to joining Ingersoll Rand, Gretchen worked for Capsule Environmental Engineering where she developed Ingersoll Rand’s corporate safety audit program. She began her career in manufacturing with Milliken & Company as Engineering Services Manager. Gretchen holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from North Carolina State University.

 

Mei-Li Lin, PhD
SVP, Business Innovation & Strategic Partnership at Dekra Insight

 
Mei-Li Lin has served at the following positions: President of Asia Pacific Operations at ORCHSE Strategies, LLC; Senior Director – Operational Excellence Solutions – EHS Predictive Analytics at IHS; Director, Research and Business Improvement at DuPont Sustainable Solutions; and Executive Director, Campbell Institute at National Safety Council.

She received her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from University of Wisconsin-Madison and is Six Sigma Master Black Belt Trained.

 

 

Cathy Hansell, CMS, CCSR, SMS, MS, JD
Founder and President of Breakthrough Results

 

Cathy Hansell, the President of Breakthrough Results, has almost 40 years of safety, health, environmental (SHE), product and manufacturing quality experience, holding various senior leadership roles at several international corporations including BASF, AlliedSignal, Honeywell International, American Standard, and Trane.  Most recently as the Corporate VP of Safety and Occupational Health at American Standard/Trane, she led a strategy throughout 500+ manufacturing, sales, and service operations globally, to create a company-wide safety culture and drive for risk prevention and wellness. The breakthrough results of these efforts translated into a 90% reduction in incident rates, insurance premium reductions, increases in business productivity and employee morale, prevention of 22,000 injuries and cost avoidance of $152 MM in seven years.

Cathy is a frequent guest speaker at business and academic conferences, councils, and symposia on such topics as safety culture, sustainability, financial investment assessments, leadership engagement, six sigma and wellness. Cathy is currently a member of the Corporate EH&S Management Roundtable, the NJ and American Bar Associations, ASSE, CSSE, and NSC.  She is an affiliate of Yellow Dynos and Breakthrough Marketing Technologies.  Cathy was previously the nominated US delegate to the EU-US Joint Conference on Occupational Health and Safety in Portugal, the International Sustainability Conference in the Canary Islands, and the Safety professional exchange with China.  Cathy has co-sponsored and presented at sustainability symposia in London (2012), Guangzhou, China (2013), Rome (2014), Denmark (2014), Toronto (2015), and Naples, Italy (2018).

Cathy holds a BS in environmental science/wastewater engineering from Cook College; an MS in environmental toxicology from NYU Institute of Environmental Medicine (GSAS) and a JD in environmental law from Rutgers University Law School.  Cathy is a certified Malcolm Baldrige examiner and instructor from Crosby, Deming and Juran Quality Institutes; a Total Quality Master certified Six Sigma Belt and a certified CSR practitioner.  She received the BCSP Certification as a Safety Management Specialist and ASSE Certification in Executive Safety Management. She was awarded the 2010 Woman of the Year in the Safety and Health Field from the National Association of Professional Women, and one of the Top 100 Women in Safety Engineering from the ASSE.
